The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) of India offers members with registered identities access to and management of their Universal Account Number (UAN) and EPF-related facilities through the UAN Member Portal. Member e-Sewa Portal for UAN
In order to sign up at the UAN Member e-Sewa Portal, UAN members need to activate their UAN or Universal Account Number.

  • Clicking on the Activate UAN button in the Important Links portion of the EPFO Member Website

  • For activation of your UAN, enter the PIN that was issued to your mobile phone in the appropriate field.
  • A system-generated passcode will soon be provided through text message. Once you choose to log in as an EPFO member, you may edit this password.

How can I check the status of my UAN?
The steps listed below can be used by UAN or EPF members to verify their UAN status:

  • Log in to the UAN website using the UAN login page, then select the Know Your UAN Status option.
  • Now input your PAN, Aadhaar, Member ID, or PF number.
  • Next, fill out the remaining fields with your name, date of birth, contact information, and Captcha code.
  • After that, select Get Verification PIN.
  • Choose the Verify OTP button to get your UAN after entering the OTP that was sent to the phone you are using.
  • A UAN number will appear on the phone you are using.

How to Login to the Member e-SEWA Portal

  • Go to the EPFO e-services website.
  • By selecting the Forgot Password option in the login part, input your UAN number to change the password.

On the site, you can check out the four categories of information listed below about your EPF account:
The member’s full EPF account is accessible on the website and may be displayed under the ‘View’ option. Your profile page, which you may access by clicking on “Profile,” will display the following details:

  • Name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • UAN
  • Name of father/husband
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
  • Educational Background
  • If you are an international employee
  • Marital Status
  • Differently abled or not

Of the information provided, you can only change the phone number and email address.

Service Background: Regardless of how many firms you switch to, you are only given one UAN in your lifetime. Even though the UAN is the same for each job you have, each employer must set up a fresh PF account using the same UAN. The following details are available for all organizations in the “Service Details” section:

  • Members’ ID
  • Name of Member
  • Name of the Organisation
  • Joining Date for EPS, FPS, and EPF
  • End date for EPF, EPS, and FPS

UAN Card: The ‘View’ tab on the UAN login page also allows you to view your UAN Card. You can download this card or show it while making an offline withdrawal or transfer at the EPF office.

EPF Passbook: The ‘View’ menu also has a Passbook alternative. Although offers this alternative, You must choose “For Employees” from the menu under “Services,” then click on “Member Passbook” and enter your UAN and password (just as with the e-Sewa Portal). To log into the passbook, click the Member ID after that.

You may manage your contact information through the site by registering your email address and mobile number. For updating the contact number, you will be sent an authorization pin for the new number. Once you enter the pin in the designated field, your cellphone number will be instantly updated. KYC: An EPF member can update their passport, bank account, PAN, and other KYC information. Before updating the KYC information against the member’s UAN, the relevant authorities confirm the information.

Online Services: Through the website’s portal, you may access several kinds of online services, including:

Claim (Forms 31, 19, and 10C): Effective in February 2017, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) released updated composite claim forms for requesting a complete or partial withdrawal of PF. There are three forms in the claim section: Forms 31, 19, and 10C. However, in order to submit a Composite Claim Form to request a complete or partial withdrawal, Aadhaar needs to be linked to a UAN.

Transfer: Another option is to ask to have your PF funds moved from an old account to a new one. However, before submitting an application for a PF transfer, ensure that your KYC information is accurate on the official website, your old and latest bank account information, and your IFSC number have been added to the UAN database system.


May I have two UANs?
