The Documentation Needed for a Minor’s Passport in India

In India, a minor is defined as someone below the age of 18. Indian passports granted to children are valid for either five years or until the youngster reaches the age of 18. A couple of additional documents are often needed when seeking a minor’s passport.

How to Apply for A Passport Online?

  1. The first and foremost thing is to go to the Passport Seva portal at https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/.
  2. If you still haven’t registered on the Passport Seva portal, register first.  Click the “Register Now” option and then follow the on-screen directions to set up your account.
  3. Next, fill up the form completely.
  4. Attach all the Required Documents and Photocopies as per directions.
  5. Now Pay the Charges associated with the Passport Application.
  6. After completing everything properly, schedule an appointment.
  7. When you’ve submitted the passport charge, you’ll be required to make an appointment at a local PSK or Regional Passport Office. 
  8. Select the most suitable day and time, and be sure you have printed the appointment confirmations.
